Career
Sara formed Tegan and Sara with her sister in 1999. They independently released their first two albums, Under Feet Like Ours (1999) and This Business of Art (2000), before signing with Vapor Records. They gained wider recognition with subsequent albums like So Jealous (2004), The Con (2007), Sainthood (2009), Heartthrob (2013), Love You to Death (2016), and Hey, I'm Just Like You (2019). Sara is a key songwriter and instrumentalist for the duo, contributing to their signature indie pop sound. Beyond music, she co-authored a memoir with Tegan titled High School, published in 2019, and adapted into a TV series.
