Noel Gallagher

Noel Thomas David Gallagher is an English singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the lead guitarist, co-lead vocalist, and principal songwriter of the rock band Oasis. His distinctive songwriting style and often abrasive public persona contributed significantly to the band's global success throughout the 1990s.

Early Life

Born in Manchester, England, on May 29, 1967, Gallagher had a difficult childhood marked by poverty and an abusive father. He found solace in music, learning to play guitar as a teenager.

Career

After working as a roadie for the Inspiral Carpets, Gallagher joined his brother Liam's band, which eventually became Oasis. He penned the majority of the band's hits, including "Wonderwall," "Don't Look Back in Anger," and "Champagne Supernova." Following Oasis's acrimonious split in 2009, Gallagher formed Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, achieving continued success as a solo artist.
