Kendji Girac

Kendji Girac is a French singer of Catalan Gitano descent. He rose to fame after winning Season 3 of the French singing competition The Voice: la plus belle voix in 2014. Known for his distinctive flamenco-pop sound, he plays the guitar and often incorporates elements of his heritage into his music.

Kendji Girac was born on July 3, 1996, near Périgueux, France. He comes from a Catalan Gitano family and grew up immersed in music, learning to play the guitar from his grandfather. He speaks French and Catalan.

Career

Girac's career launched after his victory on The Voice in 2014. He released his self-titled debut album later that year, which became a major success in France. He has since released several more albums, including Ensemble (2015), Amigo (2018), and Mi Vida (2020), all of which have achieved significant commercial success. He is known for his popular singles such as "Color Gitano," "Andalouse," and "Conmigo."
