Early Life

Josh Dun was born on June 18, 1988, in Columbus, Ohio. He grew up in a musical household and began playing drums at a young age, largely self-taught by mimicking drum parts from his favorite albums.

Career

Before joining Twenty One Pilots, Dun worked at Guitar Center and played drums for House of Heroes. In 2011, he became the band's drummer after the departure of their previous drummer and bassist. Since then, he has played a vital role in the creation and performance of their albums, including Vessel, Blurryface, Trench, and Scaled and Icy. He is known for his energetic live performances and complex drum parts.
