Daniel Platzman is the drummer for the American rock band Imagine Dragons. Known for his dynamic and versatile drumming style, Platzman contributes significantly to the band's signature sound. Early Life

Daniel James Platzman was born on September 28, 1986, in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Berklee College of Music where he studied film scoring. While at Berklee, he met future bandmates Wayne Sermon and Ben McKee.

Career

Platzman joined Imagine Dragons in 2011, completing the band's current lineup. He has contributed to all of the band's studio albums, including Night Visions, Smoke + Mirrors, Evolve, Origins, and Mercury – Acts 1 & 2. His drumming is characterized by its blend of rock, hip-hop, and electronic influences.

Personal Life

Platzman is known for his commitment to social causes, including his involvement with the Tyler Robinson Foundation, a charity that supports families battling pediatric cancer. He is also an advocate for music education.
