Ailsa Chang

Ailsa Chang is a prominent journalist and co-host of NPR's flagship news program, All Things Considered. Known for her sharp interviewing skills and in-depth reporting, Chang has covered a wide range of national and international stories, from political campaigns to social justice issues.

Early Life

Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, Chang is a first-generation Taiwanese American. She pursued her interest in language and culture, graduating from Occidental College with a degree in American Studies and later earning a law degree from the University of California, Davis.

Career

Chang began her journalism career in radio, working at various stations before joining NPR in 2011. She served as a correspondent covering the Justice Department and Congress before becoming a host of All Things Considered. Her reporting has taken her across the globe, including assignments in Egypt, China, and South Korea. Prior to her journalism career, Chang briefly practiced law.
