
Tré Cool (born Frank Edwin Wright III; December 9, 1972) is a German-American musician best known as the drummer for the rock band Green Day. He replaced the band's former drummer, John Kiffmeyer, in 1990.

Career
Tré Cool joined Green Day in 1990, shortly before the release of their second album, Kerplunk!. He quickly adapted to the band's style and contributed significantly to their breakthrough album, Dookie (1994). He has remained the band's drummer ever since, playing on numerous hit albums and singles, including "Basket Case," "American Idiot," and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams."
