Early Life

Martin Bourdages was born in Montreal, Quebec. His passion for technology began early, writing his first program in BASIC on a Commodore VIC-20 in 1980. He later developed TETRIX, a fast and compact VGA game based on TETRIS, which included a bonus game called Tank vs UFO. These early projects sparked a lifelong dedication to creating useful and entertaining technology.

Career

Before launching his own ventures, Martin worked as a software and intranet consultant for organizations like Hydro-Québec, Compuware, STIQ, and the Canadian Centre for Architecture. In 1999, he created IDpack, a Windows-based solution for designing and printing photo ID cards. At its peak, the software ran on more than 32,000 computers worldwide. In 2020, he launched IDpack Cloud, a web-based evolution of the platform.

Martin is the founder of Aptika, a company that sells ID card-related products in 87 countries and has served over 14,000 customers. Aptika has managed large-scale onsite registration for major events including the World Energy Congress, World Police and Fire Games, FINA, Toronto Royal Visit, and ICAO.

In 2011, he founded ITNX to pursue his passion for robotics. He designs and manufactures robotic arms, mobile platforms, custom claws, talking robots, and smart devices. His creations have appeared on programs such as Dragon’s Den, Mr.Net, Entrée Principale, Cogeco TV, and in a Ford Focus commercial. In 2017, his robots were featured in the film Eye on Juliet, presented at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Martin also leads development on VideoKB, a platform for organizing and enhancing YouTube channel data.
