Joe Trohman

Joe Trohman is an American musician best known as the lead guitarist and backing vocalist of the rock band Fall Out Boy. He is also a songwriter, composer, and record producer. Beyond Fall Out Boy, Trohman has explored other musical projects, including the metal band The Damned Things and his solo work.

Early Life

Born on September 1, 1984, in Hollywood, Florida, Trohman grew up in South Russell, Ohio. He developed a passion for music early on, starting with the trumpet before transitioning to guitar at age 12. Inspired by bands like Green Day and Metallica, he immersed himself in the punk rock scene.

Career

Trohman co-founded Fall Out Boy in 2001 with Pete Wentz. He has been a crucial part of the band's success, contributing to their signature sound with his distinctive guitar riffs and songwriting. He has played on all of Fall Out Boy's studio albums, including their latest release, "So Much (For) Stardust." Outside of Fall Out Boy, he co-founded the heavy metal supergroup The Damned Things and has also pursued solo endeavors.
