Teddy Park

Teddy Park (born Park Hong-jun) is a Korean-American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He rose to prominence as a member of the iconic K-pop group 1TYM and later became a highly successful producer, notably at YG Entertainment. He founded THEBLACKLABEL, a subsidiary of YG Entertainment, where he continues to shape the sound of K-pop.

Early Life

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Park moved to the United States as a child. He spent his formative years in Diamond Bar, California.

Career

Park debuted as part of the hip-hop group 1TYM in 1998. After the group's hiatus, he transitioned into producing and songwriting, crafting hits for artists like Big Bang, 2NE1, and Blackpink. In 2016, he established THEBLACKLABEL.

Awards

Park has won numerous awards for his songwriting and production work, including multiple Songwriter of the Year awards at the Mnet Asian Music Awards.
