Sorocaba de Assis Pereira

Sorocaba, real name Fernando Fakri de Assis Pereira, is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, businessman, and one half of the sertanejo duo Fernando & Sorocaba. Known for his romantic lyrics and distinctive vocals, he has helped propel the duo to national fame, achieving multi-platinum albums and sold-out tours.

Early Life

Born in São Paulo, Sorocaba developed a passion for music at a young age. He learned to play the viola caipira, a traditional Brazilian instrument, and began composing his own songs.

Sorocaba rose to prominence as part of the duo Fernando & Sorocaba. He is the primary songwriter for the duo, penning many of their biggest hits.
