Ravish Kumar

Ravish Kumar is an Indian journalist, author, and media personality. He was a senior executive editor at NDTV India, known for his prime-time show, Prime Time, and his field reporting. He resigned from NDTV in November 2022.

Early Life

Ravish Kumar was born in Motihari, Bihar, India. He studied at Loyola High School, Patna, and later pursued a postgraduate diploma in journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Delhi.

Career

Ravish Kumar began his career at NDTV in 1996. He rose to prominence anchoring the channel's flagship shows, including Prime Time, Hum Log, and Ravish Ki Report. He is known for his in-depth reporting, often from remote areas of India, and his critical analysis of socio-political issues. He resigned from NDTV following the takeover by the Adani Group.

Awards

Ravish Kumar has received numerous awards for his journalistic work, including the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 2019 and the Gauri Lankesh Award for Journalism in 2017. He was also awarded the first Kuldip Nayar Journalism Award in 2017.
