Enzo Fernández is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Premier League club Chelsea and the Argentina national team. Known for his passing range, dribbling ability, and work rate, he played a key role in Argentina's World Cup victory in 2022.

Early Life

Born on January 17, 2001, in San Martín, Argentina, Fernández joined River Plate's youth system in 2006.

Career

He made his senior debut for River Plate in 2019 before gaining experience on loan at Defensa y Justicia. Upon returning to River Plate, he became a key player, helping the team win the Argentine Primera División in 2021. In 2022, he transferred to Benfica, where his performances attracted widespread attention. Following a record-breaking transfer fee, he joined Chelsea in January 2023.

Fernández has been in a relationship with Valentina Cervantes since 2019. They have one daughter together.
