He has been the band's drummer on all their studio albums, contributing to their evolution from early Britpop influences to their experimental, electronic-infused later work. In addition to his drumming, Selway provides backing vocals and occasionally composes songs for the band. He launched his solo career in 2010 with the album Familial, followed by Weatherhouse in 2014 and Strange Dance in 2023.
