Ilmari Rodgers

Ilmari Rodgers, known professionally as Ilmari, is a Japanese rapper, DJ, and music producer. He is best known as a member of the popular hip-hop group RIP SLYME.

Early Life

Born in Finland to a Finnish father and Japanese mother, Ilmari spent his early childhood in Finland before moving to Japan. He became interested in hip-hop music during his teenage years.

Career

Ilmari is one of the founding members of RIP SLYME, formed in 1994. He contributes as a rapper and DJ to the group, which has released numerous hit singles and albums throughout their career, establishing themselves as one of Japan's most prominent hip-hop acts. Beyond RIP SLYME, Ilmari has also pursued solo work.
