Brian Firkus

Brian Firkus, known by the stage name Trixie Mattel, is a drag queen, singer-songwriter, comedian, and television personality. Rising to prominence on RuPaul's Drag Race, Trixie is known for her distinctive high-camp aesthetic, sharp wit, and musical talents, blending country, folk, and pop influences.

Early Life

Brian Firkus was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He developed an interest in music and performance at a young age.

Career

Firkus began performing in drag under the name Trixie Mattel. He gained national attention as a contestant on season 7 of RuPaul's Drag Race and later won RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars season 3. Beyond drag, Trixie has released several successful music albums, including Two Birds and Barbara, and has toured extensively. He also co-hosts the web series UNHhhh and the television show The Trixie & Katya Show with fellow drag queen Katya Zamolodchikova. Trixie has also starred in the documentary Trixie Mattel: Moving Parts and the discovery+ series Trixie Motel.

Personal Life

Firkus is openly gay and is in a long-term relationship.
