Katee Sackhoff is an American actress known for her science fiction and action roles. She gained prominence for portraying Lieutenant Kara "Starbuck" Thrace in the reimagined Battlestar Galactica series. She has also appeared in other notable series such as Longmire, The Mandalorian, and Another Life, and has voiced several video game characters.

Early Life

Katee Sackhoff was born in Portland, Oregon, and grew up in St. Helens, Oregon. She began swimming competitively at a young age and planned to pursue a career in swimming before a knee injury led her to explore acting.

Career

Sackhoff's early acting roles included appearances in television movies and series. Her breakthrough came with the role of Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica (2004-2009), which earned her critical acclaim and a Saturn Award. She later starred in the A&E series Longmire (2012-2017) as Sheriff's Deputy Victoria "Vic" Moretti. She has also appeared in films such as Riddick (2013) and Oculus (2013), and voiced the character Bo-Katan Kryze in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and later portrayed her in live-action in The Mandalorian.
