Fiona Bruce

Fiona Bruce is a prominent British journalist and television presenter best known for her work as the main presenter of the BBC News at Six and Ten. She has also hosted other flagship programs like Antiques Roadshow and Question Time.

Early Life

Born in Singapore in April 1964, Fiona Bruce spent part of her childhood in Italy and England due to her father's advertising career. She attended Haberdashers' Aske's Hatcham College in New Cross, London, and later studied French and Italian at Hertford College, Oxford.

Career

Fiona Bruce began her career as a researcher for Panorama in 1989. She joined BBC News in 1990 as a reporter and later became a presenter, working on various programs including Breakfast News, Newsnight, and BBC News at Six. In 2001, she became the first female presenter of the BBC's flagship political debate program, Question Time, a role she held until 2023. She also presents the popular BBC program Antiques Roadshow.

Personal Life

Fiona Bruce is married to Nigel Sharrocks, and they have two children.
