Chad Robert Kroeger

Chad Kroeger, born Chad Robert Turton on November 15, 1974, is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, and guitarist, best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the rock band Nickelback. He is known for his distinctive raspy baritone voice and has penned numerous hit songs.

Early Life

Kroeger was born in Hanna, Alberta, Canada. He learned to play guitar at the age of 13. His early musical influences included Metallica and Van Halen.

Career

Kroeger co-founded the band Nickelback in 1995. The band achieved mainstream success with their album Silver Side Up in 2001, which featured hit singles like "How You Remind Me" and "Too Bad." They have released numerous successful albums since then, establishing themselves as one of the most commercially successful rock bands of the 21st century.

Personal Life

Kroeger was married to fellow Canadian musician Avril Lavigne from 2013 to 2015.
