Ashin Tsui

Ashin Tsui (Chinese: 陳信宏; pinyin: Chén Xìnhóng; born 6 December 1975), known professionally as Ashin, is a Taiwanese singer, songwriter, and musician. He is best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the Taiwanese rock band Mayday (五月天). Beyond his work with Mayday, Ashin has also collaborated with other artists and contributed to film soundtracks.

Early Life

Born and raised in Beitou District, Taipei, Taiwan, Ashin studied at the National Taipei Institute of Technology. He began his musical journey in high school, forming a band with his friends.

Career

Ashin rose to prominence as the lead vocalist of Mayday, which was formed in 1997. He is the band's primary lyricist and a key figure in their songwriting process.
