Ari Shapiro

Ari Shapiro is an American radio journalist, best known as a host of NPR's flagship news program All Things Considered. He has also served as NPR's White House correspondent and Justice correspondent, covering major national and international events.

Early Life

Born in Fargo, North Dakota, Shapiro developed an early interest in journalism. He graduated from Yale University.

Career

Shapiro began his career at NPR as an intern before becoming a legal affairs correspondent. He then served as Justice Correspondent, covering the Supreme Court and the Department of Justice. From 2010 to 2015, he was NPR's White House correspondent, reporting on the Obama administration. He later became a host of All Things Considered.

Personal Life

Shapiro is openly gay and married to Michael Gottlieb.

Awards

Shapiro has received several awards for his journalism, including a Daniel Schorr Journalism Prize.
