Robert Fitzgerald Diggs

Robert Diggs, better known as RZA, is an American rapper, record producer, musician, actor, filmmaker, and author. He is the de facto leader of the Wu-Tang Clan, a highly influential hip-hop group he founded with his cousins GZA and Ol' Dirty Bastard. RZA is known for his innovative and often gritty production style, incorporating elements of soul, funk, and kung fu movie samples. He has also pursued a successful solo career and has been involved in various film and television projects.

Early Life

Born on July 5, 1969, in Brownsville, Brooklyn, Robert Diggs spent part of his childhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before moving to Staten Island, New York. He developed an early interest in hip-hop music.

Career

RZA formed the group Force of the Imperial Master (later known as All in Together Now) with his cousins in the late 1980s. After a brief solo career, he founded the Wu-Tang Clan in the early 1990s, producing the majority of their groundbreaking debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). He has continued to produce for the group and its individual members, as well as other artists. RZA has also released several solo albums under the alias Bobby Digital. Beyond music, he has acted in and scored films, including directing The Man with the Iron Fists.

RZA is married to Talani Rabb. He has children from previous relationships.
