Paul McGuigan

Paul McGuigan, often known as "Guigsy," is best known as the bassist for the iconic British rock band Oasis from 1991 to 1999. He contributed to the band's defining sound during their most successful period.

Early Life

Born in Manchester, England, McGuigan developed an interest in music from a young age.

Career

McGuigan was a founding member of Oasis, initially called "The Rain," alongside Liam Gallagher, Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs, and Tony McCarroll. He played bass on all of Oasis's studio albums released during his tenure, including Definitely Maybe and (What's the Story) Morning Glory?. His melodic basslines became a signature element of the band's sound. He left Oasis in 1999.
