Francesca Michielin

Francesca Michielin is an Italian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She rose to fame after winning the fifth season of the Italian X Factor in 2011. Since then, she has released multiple successful albums and singles, represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest, and become a prominent figure in the Italian music scene.

Early Life

Born in Bassano del Grappa, Italy, on February 25, 1995, Francesca Michielin developed a passion for music at a young age. She played the cello in her youth and later learned to play bass guitar and piano.

Career

Michielin's career launched after her victory on X Factor in 2011. She signed with Sony Music and released her debut single, "Distratto," which achieved multi-platinum certification. She has since released several studio albums, including "Riflessi di me," "di20are," and "FEAT (Stato di Natura)." In 2016, she represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "No Degree of Separation," finishing in 16th place.
