Bill Kapri

Bill Kapri, known professionally as Kodak Black, is an American rapper. He gained initial recognition with his single "No Flockin" in 2014 and has since released several studio albums and mixtapes. His music often reflects his experiences growing up in poverty and his struggles with the law.

Early Life

Born Dieuson Octave on June 11, 1997, in Pompano Beach, Florida, Kapri was raised in the Golden Acres public housing projects. He later legally changed his name to Bill Kahan Kapri. He began rapping at a young age, joining a local rap group called Brutal Youngnz.

Career

Kodak Black's career began to gain traction with the release of "No Flockin" in 2014. He signed to Atlantic Records in 2015 and released his debut album, Painting Pictures, in 2017, which reached number 3 on the Billboard 200. He has since released several other successful projects, including Dying to Live (2018), Bill Israel (2020), and Back for Everything (2022).

Personal Life

Kodak Black has faced numerous legal challenges throughout his career, including charges related to weapons, drugs, and sexual assault. He received a commutation from President Donald Trump in 2021, shortening his prison sentence. He has several children.
