Early Life
Born in London, Ontario, Canada, Jeremy Hansen grew up on a farm near Ailsa Craig. He developed an early interest in aviation and space.
Career
Before joining the CSA, Hansen served as a CF-18 fighter pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force, rising to the rank of Colonel. He was selected as one of two CSA astronauts in 2009. He has contributed to robotics, spacesuit development, and mission control operations. In 2023, he was assigned as a Mission Specialist on the Artemis II lunar mission.
