Zachary Lane Bryan was born on April 2, 1996, in Oologah, Oklahoma. He comes from a military family and followed in his parents' footsteps by joining the Navy. He served for eight years before being honorably discharged to pursue his music career.

Career

Bryan's music career began to gain traction after he posted a video of himself performing "Heading South" in 2019. He independently released his debut album DeAnn in 2019, followed by Elisabeth in 2020. He signed with Warner Records and released his major-label debut, American Heartbreak, in 2022, which achieved significant commercial success. He followed up with a self-titled album, Zach Bryan, in 2023.
